Edinburgh and the surrounding area have something for everyone...
The historical and cultural attractions are renowned. The majestic Edinburgh Castle famously dominating the skyline at the top of the Royal Mile. The Palace of Holyrood at the bottom, where you will also find Dynamic Earth, with its insight into our amazing planet and our new controversial Scottish Parliament building.
During August the streets come alive with entertainers and visitors from all over the world for the colourful Edinburgh Festival and Fringe and famous Military Tattoo. Later in the year its party time again with the Christmas and Hogmanay celebrations, when no one can help but be caught up in the festive spirit.
Those wanting to hit the shops have a wide variety to choose from, either in the city centre or at Ocean Terminal. Here you can combine the shopping trip with a visit to The Royal Yacht Britannia or see the latest film at the multi screen cinema, all only 10 minutes walk from the apartment.

Entertainment does not stop when the sun goes down. The theatres, bars and night clubs can keep you up until the wee small hours. Those with any energy left have plenty to choose from, whether it’s walking from the apartment along the Water of Leith to Balerno or trying their hand at skiing on the dry ski slope at Hillend.
Further a field within an hours drive, guests can find the beautiful Kingdom of Fife with its quaint fishing villages and the home of golf, the famous St Andrew's or visit Glasgow, Perth or Stirling.
All in all, a holiday at Edinburgh Wheelhouse has so much to offer, one week will not be long enough to do it all!
